peanuts and good vibes for grandma edna please

my grandma edna went in for surgery today, to remove a cyst "the size of a hen's egg" by one of her lungs. they don't think it's cancerous, but the results haven't come back from the lab. i'm kind of sad about it, and would appreciate any good vibes ya'll could send her way.
she grew up in western nebraska in the 20's, on a ranch eating beans where chickens were her only friends. her favorite food was peanuts, and because money was so tight, it was a real treat to get some. when she was about 5, she got some peanuts and was so excited about them that she wanted to make a peanut sandwich. so she took a slice of bread and lined up the little peanuts in a row until they were covered the whole thing, and then put another slice on top and took it to school. at school, she was so proud of her sandwich that she told everyone about it. when lunch time came and she got her bucket to show everyone her delicious dinner, and... someone had stolen it. no peanut sandwich for grandma edna.
she still loves peanuts, and keeps a cupboard full of peanut butter. once, much more recently, she got up in the middle of the night to get some peanut butter and went to bed to eat it. she noticed it was crunchy, and then she noticed her arm started itching. and she turned on a lamp, and in the light she saw that the jar of peanut butter was full of ants and they were crawling down her hand.
get well soon grandma!

things and stuff II

eli and naomi gave taka and i a bunch of vhs movies when they moved out of their apartment, now taka and i are slowly working through the bunch of them. doc hollywood, single white female, digging to china, algiers, nurse betty, and some others i can't remember. random. the worst movie though, even besides doc hollywood, is REALITY BITES. gnasty. it's like generation x on the edge of the future bullhonky stuff. i hate both the main characters, winona rider and who ever the dude is, they're wretched. like wretched types who are miserable, and the art/music/lifestyle they make is supposed to be all edgy, but it's like some dips idea of edgy for a movie. i really can't get over how bad that movie is. a good movie though, "after life" by kore-eda hirokazu made me cry for an hour after it finished. but i had drank wine, and also cried during a mcdonalds commercial once. or twice.

this pillow surface is a perfect example of the 80's.
the 80's
i found it at the flea market today, and thought about how much i would have wanted it in 7th grade, or been sooo excited to make it. the 80's are about squiggles, spirals, and triangles. and "slick pen", the brand of fabric paint my mom bought me and my sisters in bulk. i remember we made our dad a fathers day t-shirt where tasha and i wrote out "rad dad" in awesome letters and underneath, we painted a picture of a girl eating a hotdog with her mouth wide open. she had her mouth wide open and was holding a giant hot dog and putting it into her mouth. i remember feeling a little funny about it after we finished, but our dad wore it for us a few times until we forgot about it. but i didn't. i bet i could sell that t-shirt on japan ebay now.

time wasters

one of my favorite all-time time-wasting website,, is going majorly down hill. where are the gellie men of today? the surprize home videos? magical moments that you slo-mo and laugh at every frame sooo hard? i just watched almost every video from their new section of world cup theme songs, all i could think about is when betty got world cup fever and said things like, "ronaldinho is my new sports boyfriend" and would get mad if anyone else said they liked him too.
three of my favorite kontraband videos:
gellie man

but don't watch this , it's not a favorite

these next videos are what comes up when i think of how stupid boys are.

just found out a little about gellieman... his name is jelle buelens and is from belgium.
